I’ve got a nasty little icon on my desktop:

I never wanted to TRY it in the first place.
I’d really like to test out the new Xobni software which is an Outlook plugin that displays information about all of your contacts. ReadWrite web had a nice piece about the software. Of course the clever marketers at Xobni won’t just hand out invites to anyone. They insist that one add a silly button to one’s blog in order to be jettisoned to the front of the line. Thus, I’m reduced to whoring out my blog which sucked anyway and just got even suckier. Behold the badge of shame, please click and sign up for the beta - I need at least two referrals to get the invite. Although, in a way, the last laugh is mine since I inserted a ‘nofollow’ tag in the link below.. ha ha ha Xobni - take that!

I’d just like to announce that my blog officially sucks. I’m hoping it sucks mainly due to a lack of posting (this is my first post since August!), although I admit the design does blow. I’m too lazy to change it.
At least I have a reasonable excuse - studying Russian does not yield much time for other endeavors. Of course spending every Sunday watching ‘Meet the Press’, ‘Fox News Sunday’ and ‘The McLaughlin Group’ probably doesn’t help either.
Happy holidays!
I’ve seen several players use the two handed style of guitar playing (a la Stanley Jordon) but nothing like the example below with two different guitars. This configuration provides a more ergonomic approach than a single guitar and also provides the opportunity for different tones for the right and left hand.
With such a solution the tone of each guitar can be optimized to accommodate the left hand, which is generally acting as the rhythm section (bass/chords) and, the right hand, which is playing the melody/lead, generally on the upper frets. Regardless, the performance below is awesome. Enjoy.
Ok, so I’m spending too much time at chipotlefan.com. But where else can you find a widget that displays your favorite burrito concoction? In my case the following would have to be considered a burrito bol artificially enclosed by a tortilla:
I’m a big Chipotle fan. The combination of flavors in a burrito bol with black beans, guac, mild and medium salsa, cheese and lettuce is simply unbeatable. I think the key is the rice. It has a perfect combination of lemon and cilantro that dances across my taste buds like a delicate ballerina pointing across the stage of the Balshoi.
Until now, Chipotle seemed relatively healthy. Of course there is a lot of fat in the cheese, sour cream and guacamole, but that never dissuaded me (and it still won’t). Isn’t the fat in guacamole supposed to be good for you? Anyway, find out the nutritional content of your favorite Chipotle meal here.
Here is the nutritional breakdown of my favorite Chipotle meal - a burrito bowl with black beans, mild and medium salsa, cheese, lettuce, guacamole and rice.

I dedicate too much of my thought considering what I should be doing. Unfortunately, what I should be doing seems to conflict with what I want to do - watch tv, exercise, watch tv, play guitar, play poker, socialize, watch tv and generally just consume culture.
Screw consumption - I want to produce. I want to blog.
But I’m not.
Instead, as a creature of habit, I tend to spend time (outside of work, at least) doing things that are easy and habitual. I come home from work with the best intentions - hang a picture on the wall, develop a new widget for a friend’s site, make plans for my future, blog or start a web based business. However, my abode delivers a pre-packaged, saran-wrapped, recyclable array of lazy culture-consumption and comfort that sucks me in denying escape. I end up consuming and rarely produce anything.
So today I broke the chain. I’m actually blogging.
Hooray.
I never thought I would feel threatened by a chipmunk until I saw this:
Read all about this video at CNet. Don’t forget to check out the dance remix.
Well, I’ll be damned! I actually have a blog up and running. Tonight we celebrated my grandmother’s 85th birthday part. She was definitely touched by all the fuss.
I managed to snap a few photos with my camera phone. Not too shabby considering I don’t have a flash. Time to get a real camera. Any ideas? Something that can handle a bit of video would be nice so I can contribute some vlog entires to this bastion of online nonsense.
The cake at the party was truly a piece of art. Disguised as a gift, my Granny’s boyfriend was confounded that Granny wasn’t opening her present. He reached out to touch it and was greeted with a slimy green icing sheen on his fingertips.
